This was an ideas competition for a sun shelter hosted by the Van Alen Institute. Sited in New York City’s west side Hudson River Park, on Pier 54, this entry was selected for the Finalist Exhibition. The primary element, a glowing blue cube, is enclosed on three sides by a filigree of inter-woven blue panels. The north side, receiving the least light, is a sail-like sound-wall which undulates and speaks to us with every ebb-and-flow of the wind.
